“Transatlantic” at Apocrypha and Abstractions

I wrote ‘Transatlantic’ during a writing conference of sorts. By writing conference I mean one conference room with fifteen writers, one instructor, two plates of sandwiches, and two hours. We had to tell a story via a list of occupational terms, I chose business travel. Editing it after the conference, it morphed from a simple list but it kept the brevity. Originally, this piece was slightly more uplifting but it didn’t quite work so I made it  more ambivalent.

You can read ‘Transatlantic’ here.

I'm Melissa. That's it. That's all.
